How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual again this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!

A simple twisted stitch pattern flows down the back of the hand in these functionally beautiful fingerless mitts. Knit with negative ease in fingering weight wool, a nice snug fit keeps your hands warm but allows freedom for your fingers for whatever task is at hand. Pattern is both written and charted.

Techniques: knit, purl, left and right twist stitches, working in-the-round, decreasing

Difficulty Level: adventurous beginner

Yarn:One (1) skein of Brooklyn Tweed Peerie (100% American Merino Wool), 210 yds / 50g ea. in colorway Tincture or 180 yds of fingering weight yarn

Needle: .US 2 / 3.25mm for ribbing using DPNs or magic loop
US 3 / 3.5mm for body using DPNs or magic loop

Gauge: 28 sts x 42 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette, blocked
