Scarf is attached to Hat at back of neck.

Yarn:
1 skein of Variegated Morehouse Merino Bulky for Hat (115 yards); 1 skein of 2-Ply for Scarf (sport weight, 225 yards)

Needles:
Set of double pointed 10 1/2 for Hat; double-pointed #3 or #4 for Scarf (Scarf is knit back and forth, but you’ll need the double-pointed needles for the 2 tentacles on the tip of head of snail)

Gauge: 3 1/4 stitches = 1 inch over Stockinette stitch on hat; 5 1/2 stitches = 1 inch over Garter stitch on Scarf.
