The Storyteller's Cloak
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAL STARTS IN APRIL
The pattern is not available yet.
The cloak is based on a ruana (pronounced roo-AH-nah). A ruana is a traditional Andean outer garment, similar to a poncho but with an open front, resembling a large, sleeveless blanket with a slit in front, offering warmth and style as a versatile wrap for cool weather. As a massive fan of The Traitors, I decided to include an optional hood for the ruana.
The garment consists of motives joined together, with textured border rows in between sections. This is an ideal stash buster project, but buying a kit is so much more fun.
The official yarn for this CAL is Colourspun Cotton Sock in Happies and full balls in the main colour. Happies are tiny 10g balls. The sample is made with the big Happies Pack (140 small balls) in bright and cheerful colours, and Pitch (black) as the main colour. You will use the main colour to join different sections and to make colours pop in motifs. Choose your main colour carefully; it needs to tame the chaos but at the same time, it needs to celebrate the colours. With the 140 Happies, you also need nineteen 50g balls in the main colour.
Colours are not specified in the pattern, unless it is the main colour that should be used. For all other colours, you choose what colour you want to use.

The pattern will be released in weekly increments right here on Ravelry during the CAL. For more support, please join my Facebook Group.
