This simple design uses the crossed double crochet to create interest & a lovely texture. The main body is worked in turned rounds up to the armholes & then in rows, with no sewing involved at all!

The top is practical & comfortable to wear in the summer against the skin if a cotton/blend yarn is used. But it also looks great in other yarns worn over a base layer like a traditional British tank top with a flattering twist! The design is also easily customisable in terms of fit, length, & depth of neckline with all instructions to do this included.

The pattern has been tech edited & thoroughly tested by two large groups of fabulous testers who have tested every size to ensure accuracy & clarity. Photos & video links have been added where additional instruction may be helpful.

The pattern includes a schematic which is partially included in listing (see final pic). The square format prevented me from adding the whole schematic, but the other measurements are customisable anyway :)

Skill level: Advanced beginner/intermediate

Materials required:

419 - 920 yards of any of any #3 weight dk yarn.
4mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge)
Tapestry needle & scissors
2 stitch markers

Sizing: The pattern includes 9 sizes from full bust measurement 28” to 62”, CYC sizing XS = 5X

Finished measurements: The top has a negative ease of up to 2”, with finished measurements of 28.75”to 60.75”

Construction: This tank top is constructed from the bottom up in turned rounds. The body is then split into front & back to form the armholes, neckline & shoulders. The bottom ribbing is crocheted directly onto the bottom of the body. The neckline & armholes are finished off with an edging of single crochet (US terms)/ double crochet (UK terms).

Gauge: With a 4mm hook (or hook size do obtain gauge) in the two row pattern repeat, 15 stitches by 8 rows = 4” x 4” / 10cm x 10cm square
