the Swing Coat
Construction: This coat is worked in a “T” shape cuff to cuff and from the top down in Stockinette St although it is worn as Reverse Stockinette (purl side facing out) with Garter Stitch facings.
Sizing: The sizes S(M, L) for this oversized coat are based on a cuff to cuff measurement (all measured laid flat). The Small measures 36” cuff to cuff; the photo shows a Medium coat that measures 40” cuff to cuff and the Large measures 44” cuff to cuff. If you for example, are a Large but want the Small cuff to cuff measurement cast on for that and use the Note after Rows 5&6 for the row adjustments to get the proper body size.
The hardest techniques involved are an invisible cast on, short row shaping and either grafting or a 3 needle bind off. I would have to rate this as a quick knit for an intermediate knitter.
