The Tingler!
It’s never to early to start making goodies for the Halloween season! As such I have had my trusty hook trained on a few classic horror inspired delights. This one happens to be a replica of a famous parasite from the Vincent Price cinema classic, The Tingler!
This pattern creates a 15” solid Tingler (applique or ornament) OR an 18” long articulated version (ornament) when size 10 crochet thread and a 1.5 mm hook is utilized. Now, as with all of my thread based patterns, sizing up is not a problem. Just use heavier weight yarn and a corresponding hook that will give you a fairly tight fabric. YourTingler will be gigantic, but hey, I’m not going to judge you for wanting to crochet a larger than life parasite that will sure to make people scream!
Directions use US crochet terminology and abbreviations and are appropriate for an experienced beginner and beyond. I will tell you that my patterns are written in a very traditional style. Meaning, if you can read a crochet pattern from the 1950’s or 1960’s, then you should have no problem reading in my patterns.
Show your love for Mr. Price or fictional parasites, decorate your Halloween tree with creepy crawly ornaments or hey, just let people know that you bloody love them by gifting them a very unusual hand made ornament! Whatever your purposes for choosing this pattern, start crocheting some Tinglers today!!
Thank you for for looking and feel free to message me should you have any questions.
