The Yellowstone Hat is a unique beanie knit hat that knits up quickly. The brim is designed to look like braids, making it unlike most brims you see on beanies.

The pattern is for a one-size-fits-all hat, but instructions are given on how to reduce or increase the size of the hat to whatever you need, whether it’s for a baby or child. The given pattern should fit most adults.

Skill Level: Intermediate
You will need to know how to knit in the round on circular needles, and how to knit and purl. Instructions given on how to complete certain stitches in the pattern may be confusing for a beginning knitter.

Suggest yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in Spice.

Needle size: 10mm, 16 inch circular needles

The gauge is 11 stitches and 17 rows to 5” in the stockinette stitch. However having the exact correct gauge is not as critical to this pattern as long as your using the proper weight yarn.
