Knitting Pattern for an oversized but cropped sweater with a vertical chevron-pattern – worked from cuff to cuff – in sizes XS | S/M | L (L/XL | 2XL/3XL | 4XL/5XL).

Structure:
The sweater is worked horizontally from cuff to cuff: First, the cuff of the first sleeve is worked in 2x2 ribbing. After a bunch of increases, the sleeve is worked in chevron pattern. Then, new stitches are casted on to work the body of the sweater. To shape the round neck, back and front part are worked separately for a few centimeters. Afterwards, both parts are joined again and the body is finished in one piece. Then, the body stitches are casted off and the sleeve stitches remain on the needles. After finishing the second sleeve and working a bunch of decreases, the cuffs in 2x2 ribbing of the second sleeve are worked. Afterwards, stitches are picked up along the straight border of back and front part to work the hem in 2x2 ribbing. Finally, the collar in 2x2 ribbing is attached to the neckline and the sleeve seams and the side seams of the body are closed with the mattress stitch after washing and blocking the sweater.
Body and sleeves are covered with a chevron pattern with contrasting stripes worked in garter stitch. The rest of the sweater is worked in the main colour in stockinette stitch.
The fit of the sweater is oversized, the length is cropped for a modern, boxy look. Due to the special construction, the chevron pattern runs vertically over the whole body and sleeves, creating a very unique and special garment.

• 5 mm and 3.5 mm circular knitting needles

Knitting Tension:
10x10 cm = 18 sts x 24 rs in pattern with 2 strands of yarn held together on 5 mm knitting needles. Please make sure to make a swatch because of the special construction of the sweater!
