This Attractive Affair
Immerse yourself in the 1930s with this stunning top, perfect for holidays in the sun, or just for looking fabulous in the summer months or even playing the leading lady in a Hercule Poirot mystery!
This Attractive Affair is a celebration of line and colour. With a petal collar, button details, statement cuffs, and of course, those striking pinstripes, it’s a standout top that looks right from every angle.
This 1930s pattern features a simple stitch pattern but an unusual construction. The main body is knit in four pieces, a front and back which are knit sideways paired with vertically knitted side panels, creating a neat, boxy shape. Fitted sleeves are knit side to side, then finished with a separate cuff, and the distinctive petal collar is also worked in four separate pieces, resulting in a truly iconic sweater. It has a gentle boxy shape which is both elegant and extremely comfortable. Pair This Attractive Affair with a neat pencil skirt or wide legged trousers for the perfect by-the-seaside look.
This Attractive Affair is worked up in two colours of our latest yarn, Susan Crawford Cotton Breeze fingering weight, a mercerised 100% cotton yarn with a smooth lustrous finish and an elegant drape, grown and spun in Europe to OEKOTEX standards. Our sample is knitted in two contrasting shades Oyster a warm, beige shade and Claret a deep, slightly pinkish red.
Our model Theodora is shown wearing the first size 81-86cm (32-34in) chest.
The pattern includes instructions for eight sizes to fit chest measurements between 81cm (32in) and 152cm (60in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
