This Mug Is Not What It Seems
A cozy for your hot, black coffee. Don’t be alarmed if the owl takes a sip or two. This mug cozy is a quick, simple knit, with an owl face worked in intarsia (or added later with duplicate stitch if you prefer).
INTERNET EXCLUSIVE part of Great Northern.
Size
3.5” tall x 9” circumference at upper edge and 8” circumference on lower edge. Made to fit most small to large disposable cups.
Yarn
Berroco Comfort DK, 50% nylon, 50% acrylic. 178 y /50 g ball. Shown in MC Liquorice and CC Sunshine. 1 ball each colour. NOTE: CC takes less than 3 g of yarn.
Needles
3.5 mm (US 4) straights or circulars
Gauge
22 sts and 32 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, blocked. Adjust needle size to obtain gauge.
Notes
One ball of the MC will be enough to give you approximately 7 mug cozies. The chart is worked in stockinette stitch; because this cozy is knit from the top down, the chart is presented upside down.
