Il cappellino è costruito in tondo, dal centro verso l’esterno, con una serie di aumenti concentrici che formano i petali di un fiore. Raggiunto il massimo diametro, vengono eseguite una serie di diminuzioni per dare al cappellino la circonferenza cranica desiderata e viene aggiunto un bordo a maglia bassa.
Richiede di saper lavorare in tondo.
I punti utilizzati sono: catenella (cat); maglia alta (ma); maglia alta allungata (maa); maglia alta doppia (mad); maglia bassa (mb); mezza maglia alta (mma); maglia bassissima (mbss); picot.
