DESCRIPTION
The Tic Tac Toe Cardigan is the kind of project that feels as good to make as it does to wear. The stitch pattern used for this collection is the beloved tic tac toe stitch from Chapter 1 of the book (the Tic Tac Toe Sweater Lite and the Tic Tac Toe Scarf Lite), but reimagined through a heavier weight yarn and a slightly larger gauge. This allows for faster progress while maintaining the sophisticated look of the finished pieces.
The cardi is worked flat in one piece, with just two simple seams, proof that great construction doesn’t have to be complicated. The boxy, semi-cropped fit drapes effortlessly, while bishop sleeves add a touch of volume and elegance. The ribbed edges tie everything together for a refined finish, and the double lapel buttons are a fun detail that make this cardigan uniquely yours. Whether layered over a dress or paired with jeans, it’s a versatile staple that invites everyday wear.
And if you’re in the mood for a smaller, equally charming project, check out the coordinating Tic Tac Toe Earwarmer!
