Tie Front Cardigan

A sweet layering piece that wraps you in the beautiful fabric that Meadow creates. Soft shapes are created by the tie fronts, worked sideways from the main body of the garment. The back is worked from the bottom up, the fronts are then picked up along the sides and worked sideways. The sleeves are worked flat and seamed for stability.

Foundations: The first wobbly scarf you knit and knotted proudly around your neck to keep out the cold. The handmade mittens you wore as a child, a gift from a beloved relative. When we think about the hours spent making those items, we understand that they are an act of love. It’s the time you set aside for your own creativity that day. It’s the way you felt as your beloved pulled on your hat as they left for work that day. Each stitch, a hidden wish. The gift of handmade is at the core of our latest series of design collections. We named it ‘Foundations’ because these are the building blocks for a lifelong hobby in which we can clothe ourselves and our loved ones in beautiful colours and texture.
