Time for a Change
This blanket is a baby changing station. It is sized to fit the changing shelves that are commonly provided in restrooms. The fabric is doubled for the comfort of the tot. One end has the pocket that stores the blanket. On the other is a pouch to hold necessities such as spare diapers. The knitting is easy peasy-- just one long strip. Assembly is what makes it work. 3 gauges: 4 stitches/6 rows, 5.5 stitches/8 rows and 7 stitches/10 rows per inch so any gauge of machine may be used. The teddy bear may be worked as an isolated motif or as normal fairisle as on the sample or omitted. Passaps and hobby machines will do best to duplicate stitch the teddy. The bulky version consumed 20 oz. of Red Heart Super Saver yarn.
