Tinos (named for a serene Greek island) is a fun little cowl designed to resemble the look of an asymmetrical triangular shawl wrapped around the neck. It is worked flat from one corner to the next in a pretty, textured, slipped stitch stripe pattern – a series of increases and decreases form its shape, and one little seam up the back makes it a cowl. Designed for Anzula’s gorgeous new cashmere yarn, Serenity, Tinos is a perfect way to use those special skeins of luxury yarn and put them on display!

Specific yarn requirements:
Anzula Serenity (100% Cashmere; 185 yds/170 m per 50g); 1 skein each of Hibiscus (MC) and Elephant (CC)
Or 160 yds/150 m each of 2 colors of heavy fingering weight yarn (320 yds/290 m total)

Needles:
US 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle, at least 20”/50 cm long

Gauge:
21 sts & 36 rows = 4”/10 cm in Textured Stripe pattern
Meeting this exact gauge is not crucial, but any major differences will affect the size of the finished cowl as well as yarn requirements.
