Yarn used: Stylecraft Life DK (DK; 326 yds 298m per 3.5 oz 100g; 75% Acrylic, 25% Wool); you will need about 90 yds 100m in 2306 Cardinal.
You can also use any other DK (light worsted) weight yarn.

Needles used: 6 (4 mm), straight.
