This is an original amigurumi crochet pattern designed by me (Smiley Crochet Things) to make a teddy bear that can be dressed up in 5 different ways. The pattern includes detailed step by step instructions and pictures

Size (using suggested materials): 12cm (4.75 inches) tall and 8cm (3.25 inches) wide.

Crochet these adorable tiny teddies yourself as a perfect gift for a child, or as an ornament or accessory, or just because they are adorable! Using the materials suggested the toys created would be suitable for children (always check materials and current safety standards before giving to a small child).

Advanced beginner pattern - a little crochet knowledge is necessary although only basic stitches are required (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet and half double crochet are used within this pattern), more complicated stitches used within this pattern are described in detail. This pattern uses the amigurumi method of working in spirals.

The body of this pattern is worked as one piece from the feet to the top of the head, so no need for too much tedious hand sewing!

Materials:

  • dk/light worsted (8ply) yarn in the required colours (yarn used for picture Ricorumi (100% cotton), and Ricorumi lame (polyester and nylon blend)
  • 3mm crochet hook (or appropriate hook to get a tight tension)
  • 6mm black safety eyes
  • Polyester toy stuffing
  • keychain (optional)

Any yarn can be used with an appropriate sized hook, although other weights of yarn will affect the size of the finished item. No required tension, as long as it is worked fairly tightly.

Thank you for purchasing my pattern, I hope you enjoy creating your teddies as much as I enjoyed creating this pattern. I would love to see your finished teddies, please message me or tag me on Instagram @smileycrochetthings so I can see your pictures.
