I bought the tiny votive candles first with the intention of packaging them nicely and giving them as holiday gifts. However, soon after I’d purchased them, I was inspired by several sources to knit little wire “chaquetas” for them. Thus, the pattern was born. I made almost two dozen of them and gave them as holiday gifts in ‘06. They were a big hit and couldn’t have been easier to whip up once I get the hang of knitting with wire.
