Whether you are a crochet sock lover or just curious, this is the crochet patterm for you. With brand new techniques and a wonderfully stretchy unisex pattern, these may be the best crochet socks ever. The pattern is sized for everyone in the family – from baby toes to a large adult male foot.
Perfect for stash busting these socks can be striped with multiple colours, but also look great in a self striping, gradient or variegated yarn.

Sizes
Seven sizes to fit baby to adult.
Finished circumference at foot: 12 (13, 18, 21, 22, 27, 31)cm/4.5 (5, 7, 8, 8.5, 10.5, 12)in
Finished length is fully adjustable, a standard size guide is included to make gifting easier.
Choose the size closest to, or slightly larger than, your foot circumference at its widest point.

Materials
1 50g skein Coop Knits Socks Yeah! (4ply, 75% fine super wash merino wool, 25%nylon, 212m/231yds/50g) in each of:
Col A: Lapis (125)
Col B: Topaz (113)
Col C: Sphene (104)
3mm hook (US D)
2 removable stitch markers

This pattern lends itself well to using up smaller scraps. 150g total will make a large adult pair with a generous ankle, smaller sizes will require less yarn. Recommend at least three colours for the pattern although a self-striping yarn would also work nicely.
The yarn should ideally be a wool nylon blend for strength, elasticity and breathability, but a hardy high-twist wool designed for socks would also work.

Tension
23 sts and 20 rows in htr to 10cm/4in using 3mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension)

Difficulty Rating
Intermediate

Skills Needed
Basic crochet stitches, working in rounds, working in rows, working into row ends, missing stitches, spike stitches (working into previous rows), short rows, decreasing.

This pattern is written and charted using standard UK crochet terminology (US conversions given in the abbreviations)
