To the Point was designed as an introduction to side-to-side shawls with a twist – you will change colors for the edging right in the middle of the row without cutting the yarn. The working yarns are carried up the shawl right where the changes are made and allow for the strands to be hidden neatly in the shawl as you work. (Be sure to check out the video included in the notes)

What I like best about this type of shawl is that you can easily lengthen or shorten the width of the shawl by adding or removing 4-row repeats at the center or at both sides of the center. There is no other math needed to update the edging due to the changes in length. So it is perfect for both beginners and advanced crocheters alike.
