Top-Down Cable Pullover #167
I worked with Wendy Bernard on her book “Custom Knits”—which talks about the joys of top-down knitting—and was inspired to create this pullover. You cast on for the back and work to the armholes, then pick up for the front from the back stitches and work to the armholes. The body is worked in the round to the bottom edge, and then the sleeves are picked up from the armholes, shaped with short rows at the cap, then worked to the bottom as well, so when the sleeves are done, all that’s left is the neckband – no seams!
The cable pattern is presented in charted format.
