Topsy Turvy Shawl or Scarf
Topsy Turvy Shawl or Scarf just can’t seem to make up its mind. One minute you find yourself knitting a delicate lace pattern, the next twisting a cable. First it leans one way, and then the other. You never know what it’s going to do next! This fun to knit shawl or scarf would be a great accent piece for your spring and summer wardrobe. The stitch pattern is easy to work, and the cotton and linen blend yarn will remain cool and crisp throughout the day.
A note on yarn: When knitting the scarf, almost all of the two balls are used up, so if you want a longer scarf, you will need to purchase another ball. When knitting the shawl, only a small amount of the sixth ball is used, so if you want to make it longer, you will have plenty of yarn to work with. If you want it shorter, just work until the fifth ball is almost finished, ending on a row 13.
Finished Size (Blocked): Approx. 5.5” x 72” for scarf. Approx. 17” x 67” for shawl.
