Touch the Sky Bag
The Touch the Sky bag has a fresh geometric pattern, and is the perfect size for all your bits and bobs for a day out. So why not make yourself a bag today?
The pattern includes full written instructions, comprehensive pattern notes, and charts for the tapestry crochet sections.
It also includes links to these video tutorials about techniques used to make the bag:
Foundation double/single crochet (fdc/fsc) stitch - https://youtu.be/PDpyrolNJ1w
General tapestry crochet – https://youtu.be/sqQxQQ-Szig
Making sure the yarns don’t get tangled – https://youtu.be/i79K04YMj6U
Tapestry crochet with the extended double/single crochet (exdc/exsc) stitch - https://youtu.be/y36cT-mDRyI
There are two pdf files for the pattern. One is with UK crochet terms and the other is with US crochet terms.
The finished bag measures 40 x 45 cm (not including the handles).
The bag used the following yarn:
Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/8 (DK; 75m / 50g ball; 100% cotton)
C1: 3 balls in Prussian Blue (092)
C2: 2 balls in Coral (051)
C3: 3 balls in Nature (002)
C4: 2 balls in Malachite Green (099)
You could substitute for other DK yarns or increase/decrease the yarn weight for a slightly bigger/smaller bag.
I recommend using a non-stretchy fibre such as cotton.
Hook: 3 mm
Crochet level: intermediate.
