As part of our “Tour of the Season” monthly yarn club we are working a blanket project with our sport weight yarn, Mad Hatter. Each month we’ll release a new square. “Tour” with us throughout the year—making up to 8 squares of each design each month, or choose your favorite square to create your blanket.

Insprired by Mansfield Park.
The tumultuous love story of Fanny and Edward in Jane Austen’s “Mansfield Park,” pivots around social intricacies with new neighbors who aren’t what they appear, positively scandalous romantic interludes within their household, and a classic coming-of-age dance. This square — the second of our series — features sweet eyelet lace hearts that symbolize our enduring love of literature and needlearts.

Square Measurements: 7” x 7”/ 18cm x 18cm
Needles & Notions: US size 5/3.75mm needles in dpns, (with 5 dpns you can divide each side of the square on a needle, if you
only have 4 dpns, use a circular needle as the 5th) (or your preferred arrangement for working in the round) (or size required to
get gauge), one locking stitch marker if using dpns, 4 stitch markers with one unique for other needle arrangements, darning
needle
Gauge: 22 sts & 34 rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, blocked

Version one had a mistake on round 23. Should have started Kfb, k6 (not k7).

First square is “First Dance”
