‘Traditions’ recreates a daily ritual in South Indian culture, tracing the MUGGU / KOLAM patterns at the entrance of a home. Patterns are created by weaving lines, drawn around dots and this practice is believed to invite Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, into the house.

The split hem pullover is worked in the round, from the bottom up, with stranded colorwork above the hem and cuffs. Written and charted instructions for colorwork are included. Sleeves are worked separately and then seamed to the body.
