I cast on this cowl as I boarded a flight from Washington DC and headed home to Portland, Oregon. One of my favorite things about flying these days is the opportunity I get for uninterrupted knitting.
This little cowl was designed and knit completely during the flight. I bound off the last stitch when I boarded the Max and it was ready to wear. You can make a long version to (see parenthesis).

Yarn: Studio Donegal Aran Tweed 2 (4) 50 Gram Skeins (140 yards, 280 yards) or 2 skeins Studio Donegal Soft Tweed
Finishes size: 48”(96”) circumference x 5.25” tall.
Needles: size 5 (3.75 mm) 24” circular
Gauge: 6 st per 1”, 9 rows 2x2 rib.
