Traveler's Sweater
This menswear inspired Steampunk sweater features textures and cables. Ribbed side panels and bronze buttons on the sleeves soften its stark lines, and a wool/hemp yarn can take you from cool autumn to cold winter weather.

FINISHED SIZE 33 (37, 41, 45, 49)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 37″; modeled with 4.5” of positive ease.
YARN Rowan Hemp Tweed (75% wool, 25% true hemp; 104 yd / 1.75 oz): #SH134 treacle, 10 (11, 12, 14, 16) balls. Yarn distributed by Sirdar USA.
NEEDLES Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight and 16″ circular. Size 9 (5.5 mm): straight. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Markers; cable needle; spare circular needle in same size as or smaller than working circular needle; tapestry needle; four 5/8″ buttons.
GAUGE 19 sts and 27 rows = 4″ in St st on smaller needles; 20 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in Garter Slip st on larger needles; one 56-st cable panel = 9.5” wide on larger needles.
NOTES This pullover is worked back and forth in separate pieces and seamed.
