Set sail with the Captain and Ship’s Mate in search of treasure, but make sure you watch out for sharks! This set of pirate toys also make super knitted ornaments or desk buddies. The pattern includes the two pirates (the Captain with their parrot, and Ship’s Mate wearing an eye patch), a treasure island, treasure chest, and log raft with a Jolly Roger flag. These toys are knitted predominantly in stockinette stitch, with increases and decreases for shaping.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

These toys require attention to detail in finishing, so if you are not a fan of seaming/finishing this may not be the project for you.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour (some shades only require oddments of yarn).
