Adorn the home with these pretty little tree coasters—they’re also great for last minute gifting. A fun and fast way to use up small quantities of a DK weight yarn. Make them two ways (striped or dotted) and/or reverse the main and contrasting colors. Worked top town in mosaic garter stitch with two contrasting color yarns. Gauge and dimensions are provided in a DK weight cotton.

Mosaic garter stitch involves garter (knit) and slipped stitches using one strand of yarn for two rows at a time (switching color strands every two rows). If you can knit stripes and slip stitches it will be easy.

Use contrasting solid colors or try semi-solid/tonal yarn for one of the colors. As long as the contrasting and main colors contrast well, the pattern will reveal itself. The pattern includes four (positive and negative) charts along with full written instructions.
