Tree Rings Sweater
by Debbie New
This sweater is knit as a pair of rings so that it can be added to, from time to time, to grow the sweater with the child. The “growth rings” that develop can use alternating colors, wide or narrow stripes, or can be arranged to show the age of the child as the sweater grows. Proportional changes are made with small splashes of color that can be chosen by the child or be made with oddments of yarn. These proportions can be easily altered to allow for a chunky or a slender build. All the joins are done without seams.
