Notes from the Designer:

Trellis is a lightweight wrap with open stitchwork, the perfect piece to transition from one season to the next. This project uses basic stitches in an interesting combination to make a beginner project that looks more complex than it is. The color changes create a final product with a pretty and subtle color gradient.

  • The sample shown used almost all of the 1000 yds/915 m in this kit: Color A: 250 yds/229 m, Color B: 250 yds/229 m, Color C: 250 yds/229 m, and Color D: 250 yds/229 m.
  • Stitch pattern worked in multiples of 12 + 4.
  • Ch(s) at the beginning of each row do not count as a stitch.
  • When changing colors, work last stitch in row before color change to the last yarn over. Drop working yarn, and trim leaving a long enough tail to tie off and weave in. Yarn over with new color, and continue working in new color.
  • The color chart is worked from the bottom up.
  • Blocking is highly recommended for this project, as it opens up the stitch pattern.
