Tremont Mitts
Tremont Mitts are a fast project with fun, slipped stitch cables and an elegant purled thumb gusset accented by a single column of knit stitches at the center. This small project is just the right size to keep in your purse so you can sneak in rows during a spare moment, and they’ll remain the perfect purse companion once you’re done to ward off chilly nights or chilly offices. You’ll need less than 50g fingering weight yarn (less than half a skein!) to help use up your sock or shawl leftovers - or an opportunity to use that small luxury skein of silk or cashmere that you’ve been dying to try.
This pattern assumes knowledge of working in the round, basic cables, increasing, and decreasing. Both charts and written directions are provided for all stitch patterns.
