This pattern contains instructions for a bottom up triangle lace shawl.
The following variations are enclosed:
• Elongated Triangles
• Regular Triangles
• Border As You Go

Please ensure you have version 0.3 before commencing your project - versioning information is available in the Versioning table within the document.

The pattern contains the finished size/gauge for a shawl made with 600m of 4ply yarn. A bigger shawl can easily be made with a 800m or 1000m graduated colour change cake, by making additional simple triangle repeats. The elongated triangles pattern variation will make a narrower triangle shawl (pictured), whereas the regular triangles pattern variation will make a wider triangle shawl (more coverage over your arms with less length). Select the variant based on your preference for width.

The shawl should have a lacy and soft drape. Recommended hook size is between 3.25mm to 4mm, depending on how loosely or tightly you crochet. I crochet quite loosely, so I used a 3.25mm hook for the pictured shawl.

The shawl works up very quickly and is very versatile. Construct it in subdued tones for office wear, or bright tones for casual wear.

An advanced beginner could easily construct this shawl.

I will also shortly provide a variation for working this shawl top down in a v-construction.
