The ever changing colors of the inside of shells in New Zealand - the mother of pearl or Paua as the Maori say - inspired me to create this shawl. All the blues and greys of the Rimu yarn perfectly showcase this play of colors.

And the best - the first ten buyers will get the pattern for 3 € (ca. 3,50 US$):-)

Material:
Knitting needle US 8 = 5mm, long needle for gathering stitches or stitch holders
Zealana Rimu Double Knit in the following colors: 2 x 50g R07 Shadow and 1 x 50 g each of R05 Oceanwave, R06 Lake Taupo, R19 Green Tint, R23 Kakariki Blue or R26 Denim, R30 Grey

Measurements: length 220 cm/87 inch, height 65 cm/25,5 inch

Gauge: 16 stitches x 40 rows in garter stitch for 10 x 10 cm and needle 5mm, but not crucial for a shawl

Basic stitch pattern: garter stitch

Construction: The shawl starts with the long side and is shaped with decreases/ hold stitches at the start and end of each row. The shell edge is knitted over all the left stitches at the end as described below.
