My mother taught me to knit when I was only five years old. She sat next to me and taught me how to cast on, knit and purl stitches and bind off; all with an admirable amount of patience. Since then, knitting has been my dearest hobby. I would like to thank my mother for her patience - Tribute Cardi is dedicated to her.

The body is knitted from the bottom and up. The rib on the body is knitted flat. When finishing, the jacket is steeked at center front, for the neck and for the armholes. The colorwork is stranded in stockinette stitch and using the Fairisle technique.

The pattern is available in six sizes. Remember to check you gauge against the one given in the pattern. If you have less stitches per 10 cm/4”, the garment will be larger than the given measurements. If you have more stitches per 10 cm/4”, the garment will be smaller than the given measurements. Do also compare the finished bust measurement to a garment that fits you well.

Mamma lærte meg å strikke da jeg var lita jente, og det har jeg hatt enormt mye glede av opp gjennom årene. Derfor er det helt på sin plass å kalle opp denne kofta etter mamma.

Vrangborden på bolen strikkes frem og tilbake. En legger opp 6 ekstra masker midt foran og strikker resten av bolen rundt på rundpinne. Ermene strikkes separat. Ved montering klippes det opp midt foran, til hals og til ermehull, og ermene sys fast til bolen.

Oppskriften kommer i seks størrelser. Husk å sjekke din egen strikkefasthet mot den som er angitt i oppskriften. Får du færre masker per 10 cm, vil plagget bli større enn angitt. Får du flere masker per 10 cm, vil plagget bli mindre enn angitt. Sjekk også beregnet overvidde mot et plagg du passer.
