The Trifle shirt is a sweater that is worked from top down. The construction is a bit unusual, but provides a nice fit around the shoulder. This shirt, worked with a light fingering yarn, is overall more oversized, so that even in warmer temperatures its airy. The ever-widening stripes of the contrast yarn feature texture, making them stand out even more and giving the shirt a nice accent.

Das Trifle-Shirt ist ein Pullover, der von oben nach unten gearbeitet wird. Die Konstruktion ist etwas ungewöhnlich, bietet aber eine schöne Passform um die Schulter. Das mit einem leichten Sockengarn gestrickte Shirt ist insgesamt eher oversized, so dass es auch bei wärmeren Temperaturen luftig ist. Die immer breiter werdenden Streifen des Kontrastgarns haben eine Textur, die sie noch mehr hervorhebt und dem Shirt einen schönen Akzent verleiht.

26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 inch with needle size 3,25 mm / US 3 with, in stockinette stitch after blocking.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Main needle: 80 cm circular needle size 3,25 mm / US 3 and 3.0 mm / US 2,5; DPN size 3,25 mm/US 3 for the sleeves and 3,0 mm / US 2,5 for the neckline, if you don’t want to use magic loop.
A crochet hook for CO. Stitch markers, two stitch holder or waste yarn.
