The Trillian cowl features a bold geometric pattern on the right side and textured, colorful, thin stripes on the wrong side. The pattern is very versatile and allows for multiple color variations.

It can be made in the suggested colors (four colors as per instructions) or you may use fewer or more colors, or even use up some leftovers by making each section in different colors. You can also make it in a yarn with long color repeats, which will work the magic itself. In this case you will need at least two skeins in order to alternate them within the stitch pattern.

The cowl is worked in the round with the RS always facing up. The main stitch pattern uses only two of the most basic crochet stitches: double crochet and chains. You will alternate two colors at a time, but use only one color in each round. Three rounds of linen (seed) stitch are used for the edging at each side of the cowl.
