Smart and trim jacket with large buttons and shaped hem, a “quickly knitted jacket” with instructions for short and long sleeves.

From Bestway: “The perfect jacket – broad of shoulder, slim of waist. It is knitted in stocking-stitch with moss-stitch borders.”

Materials: 12 ozs (short sleeves) or 16 ozs (long sleeves) of double-knitting wool (two strands of 4-ply held double). The pattern also requires 5 button moulds and some embroidery yarn for covering them. You will also need: a pair of No. 11, a pair of No. 7 and a pair of No. 5 knitting needles.

Tension: 13 sts to every 3 inches in width and 11 rows to every 2 inches in depth on No. 5 needles.

A schematic showing the pattern pieces with measurements is included in the knitting pattern.
