I’m so excited to share this pattern as part of the Mélange blanket CAL.

The Tristan stitch is something I came up with while toiling around with knit-look crochet. It’s best described as an hdc stacked on top of an sc but worked like a dc. Working slip stitches in the horizontal bar (sometimes called the third loop) creates a beautiful ribbed look. The best part is that the back side looks like rows of purl stitches. I hope you enjoy this mitered square variation!
