I called this scarf Tufty after the squirrel that used to help children cross the road in the 1970s. My mum took me to the public hall in Heald Green to meet him and after waiting, what seemed like forever, he never showed. Although I am still cross with Tufty for letting me downI still like what he stands for - helping children cross the road safely. I hope my scarf knitted in the neon yellow adds to the good work Tufty has done so far. If you can knit, purl, cast on using the cable technique and cast off then you can make this scarf.
