Tunisian Entrelac Afghan
This pattern is
available for free.
Baby Size = 36” square, 18 x 18 Blocks, requires 3 Caron Cakes
Throw Size = 60” square, 30 x 30 Blocks, requires 7 Caron Cakes
You do not have to use Caron Cakes, as different color yarn can be used to achieve the desired color changes.
Gauge stitch isn’t as important as the size of each square. Each square should measure 2” x 2”, so use a hook that will produce squares that size. A Tunisian hook is recommended, but not absolutely necessary if regular hook’s throat is long enough to hold the stitches to work the Tunisian row stitch passes.
