One skein of bulky yarn at 110 yards for the scarf and one for the hat.
Pattern for both is an easy 4 row repeat, simple enough for a beginner!
I used hand-dyed yarn from Hawaii, but any bulky will do. Both of these pieces are quick to knit, and both together make a great gift!
