There is no gauge for this pattern.

Any size needle will work fine. If you are a loose knitter using a smaller needle can help to tighten up the stitches so you can see the picture better. The sample cloth was knitted with a US3 needle.

This pattern will use up appx 2oz of any brand of a solid colored cotton yarn. Be careful using colors too dark or too bright, as they can make picture harder to see.
