Turkish Lace Camisole
This lacy camisole’s perfect for cool mornings when wearing just a tank top won’t do, or as a cover-up over a bathing suit and sarong. A shirt tail detail at the bottom of the garment with split sides adds a bit of shaping over the hips. The camisole’s shoulder straps are rounded. The back shoulder strap narrows to a triangle, and attaches to the front with a decorative button. This strap configuration allows leeway so the camisole can adjust to fit many body types without an adjustable strap. The stitch pattern, shirt tails and shaping add little complication to this relatively simple shape, making it a lightweight and fast summer project.
The Turkish Lace Camisole design comes in multiple sizes with finished measurements of 32(34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48) inches and uses approximately 400-600 yards of DK weight yarn.
Note: I designed this in Knit Picks Twist (now discontinued) but have since redone the sample in Rowan Pure Linen (in dark green). Although this Rowan yarn says it is Aran weight, it worked up perfectly …definitely consider switching and substituting yarns here to suit your tastes!
