Turtle Track is a minimalist and reversible lace shawl inspired by the Track of the Turtle stitch pattern from Shetland. Even though the pattern may look difficult, it is straightforward and is a good introduction to lace knitting.

The sample is worked in Ito Kinu as a delicate gauze. It feels almost weightless. Even through the size is generous, it weighs just over 100g.

Any heavy lace or light fingering yarn would work for the pattern. Solid colors or subtle hand dyes would show off the pattern best.
