In a handsome heathered yarn with grandpa-sweater textures, this unusual cardigan goes femme with a cropped back hem and extended fronts that can be worn long or wrapped and pinned around the torso.
Finished Size 34 (38½, 41, 45, 48½)” bust circumference with fronts overlapped. Cardigan shown measures 34″.
Yarn Quince & Co. Owl Tweet (50% American wool, 50% alpaca; 120 yd 110 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #372 oak, 11 (12, 14, 15, 17) skeins.
Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): straight and 40″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Gauge 19 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in Broken Rib; 22 sts of Cable chart = 3½” wide.
