Tweedy Kindle Cover
Now here is a great gift; a cool looking Kindle cover! I made this for my husband and he really likes it. I hope he is not the only one, so here is the knitting pattern!
It is knitted back and forth using the cross stitch knitting technique. The cross stitch knit gives a dens material that is perfect for covers. The cover is sewn up at the end and an Icord in a contrast colour is attached to the opening and a loop is made to close the cover.
Cross stitch stitch is a bit time consuming and is therefore best used for smaller projects like this Kindle case. It comes out less elastic than stockinet stitches which works well for a snug fitting cover. The texture of the knitting is lovely and slightly masculine.
