This pattern is available from knitpicks.com for $4.99.

An interesting asymmetrical basketweave pattern is featured on a coaster, a trivet, and a jar sleeve that fits nicely on a classic wide-mouth mason jar. The cabled pattern makes the fabric thick and squishy, perfect for protecting a surface from cold, heat, or moisture. The jar sleeve will allow drinking cold or hot beverages without hurting your hands.

The same cabled pattern is used in three different ways for the three items – in a simple flat square for the coaster, in the round from the center out for the square trivet, and from the center out and then repeated around seamlessly for the jar sleeve. A simple cable twist is used along the edges of the coaster, as well as around the border of the trivet.

Coaster may be used as a gauge swatch: If finished coaster measures 4” square, then your gauge should be good to knit the other two larger projects.
