Twig & Twine Infinity Cowl
Many years ago, I collaborated on some knitwear design ideas for a local designer-clothing brand. One of the experiments we did was to hold seven strands of handpainted yarn together to make a big, thick knitted fabric. I absolutely loved how the various bits of color popped out at different intervals to create a mesmerizing marled fabric. In this cowl pattern, I used nine strands of yarn: two ends of four diff erent skeins, plus one more skein of fuzzy laceweight mohair and silk yarn for added warmth and texture. You can wear the cowl double-wrapped for extra coziness.
