This is a pattern recipe. Intermediate to advanced skill level.

• top-down
• mock cables (charted)
• try on as you go
• easily customizable pattern repeat
• your yarn, your gauge
• make it a sweater or a short-sleeved top or a sleeveless top
• positive ease, no shaping

The general principle of the construction is explained in the beginning. Several examples of mock cable pattern modification are provided. Then the explanation how I made my own sweater are given.

I used fingering weight yarn but you can experiment with weights and fibers. Make a summer version from cotton or use sock yarn, it is up to you.
